Road Rage

1 min read

Aggressive behavior on the road — from cutting off to deliberate pursuit. The motorcyclist always loses.

What is it

Road rage is aggressive behavior directed at another road user — from cutting off and honking to deliberate pursuit and ramming. For a motorcyclist, any road conflict is a losing proposition: you are smaller, less protected, and more vulnerable.

How it happens

Someone feels «disrespected» on the road — overtaken, cut off, given a gesture. Adrenaline and ego switch the brain into punishment mode. The driver pursues, cuts off, or forces toward the shoulder. The rider provokes or retaliates — the situation escalates.

How to reduce the risk

  • NEVER engage — ego riding on the road kills
  • Aggressive driver? Let them go, create distance, take a different route
  • Don't make gestures — even when you're in the right
  • Note the plate and report to police instead of confronting
